The mission of Walking In Faith is a simple, yet very important one. The harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few. Therefore, we are inter-denominational and multi-cultural in our mission, seeking unity between the various true Christian and Messianic faiths. However, we seek to avoid the dangers and pitfalls of the post-modern, humanistic (all paths lead to God) Ecumenical Movement that has sprung up in recent years and the faulty (and false) doctrines that the movement seeks to force upon sincere, but unsuspecting people. We seek to unify the present-day community of believers, whether Jew or Gentile, breaking down the middle wall of partition and restoring the only true Church, the ekklesia (congregation, body of believers – i.e. “the church”) of the First Century that Yeshua HaMaschia (Jesus Christ) began when He walked on this Earth. This restoration includes a necessary return to our Jewish roots and the necessity to view all of scripture (Both Tanakh (Old Testament) and B’rit Chadashah (New Testament)) from its proper Hebraic (cultural and historic) perspective, rather than the Hellinistic/Greco-Roman viewpoint that modern Christianity espouses. The First Century church met in small groups and went from house to house breaking bread in fellowship, yet they were not separate from other groups…there was only one “church” composed of many smaller congregations. There were no denominations or non-profit (government regulated or government controlled) corporations with a multitude of different theologies and doctrinal statements. We desire to restore this First Century way of “doing church” (within the confines prescribed by the Evangelical Protestant Church), as much as is humanly possible in the 21st Century. We also seek to abolish Pharisaic Theology and Doctrine and the unscriptural Traditions of Men that accompany them. We desire to be true and faithful to the church that Yeshua (Jesus) envisioned. A church without spot or wrinkle, a church of holiness, obedient to the only one, true and living God…the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob…the God of Yisrael (Israel), Yahweh (YHVH).
Again, this is a Trinitarian ministry and is not affiliated with, nor condones, the teachings of the Oneness Apostolic or United Pentecostal Church denominations (sometimes referred to as Unitarian or Jesus-only). Although we believe some of their doctrines to be unscriptural, we still believe them to be sincere followers of Yeshua with good intentions, but we cannot in good faith accept certain faulty doctrines of theirs. We are saved by grace, through faith in the shed blood of Yeshua alone.
John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Not even baptism is necessary to receive salvation, as some of these groups often teach. As for the formula for baptism, Yeshua commanded it to be done “in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost”. When the Apostles “baptized in Jesus Name”, they were doing so in the authority given to them by Yeshua and in THE CHARACTER OF Yeshua, not by literally saying “I baptize you in Jesus’ Name”. However, we see no problem with combining the two formulas and using both phrases together.
This ministry is affiliated with the General Conference of the Evangelical Protestant Church and we do all things with a Trinitarian, Evangelical, and Pentecostal philosophy based on a Hebraic Messianic understanding.
Our Mission Statement
- To preach and teach the uncompromised, true, and complete Word of God throughout the United States and the World, by any means or method that becomes available to us, thereby fulfilling the Great Commission and being a comfort to the hurting and the lost. We desire to be a refuge to, and a Hospital for, the hurting…rather than a Rest Home for the Saints (as most churches are)!
- To build people’s faith with truth, rather than destroy it with the false teachings that bring false hope and appear to build faith, but actually destroy it in the end. We believe in a balanced Gospel that was written by YHVH perfectly and remains perfect when kept in its proper and original context.
- To spark true Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) Revival wherever we may preach or teach, through whatever method or media YHVH chooses. We desire God’s manifest presence in every community, every home, every worship service, and everywhere and anywhere that YHVH may send us!
- To bring both unbelieving sinner, and backslider alike, to repentance and a saving knowledge of our Lord and Master, Yeshua HaMashiach bat Natzaret (Jesus Christ of Nazareth). Our primary mission is to bring those who profess to be Christians back to a right relationship with God, helping them to understand the scriptures, and teaching them how to have a closer walk with the LORD. This will be accomplished through Bible Study, Discipleship, Discipline, and Accountability. This will be an intentional system of training and education. However, we also are very concerned with winning lost souls to Yeshua and expanding the Kingdom of God! We desire that NONE should perish in the Lake of Fire!!
- To go wherever, and whenever, YHVH may choose to send us to spread the Gospel of Yeshua to the rich and the poor, the downtrodden and the oppressed, the sick and dying, the junkie and the prostitute, the homeless and the elderly, the hurting and the depressed, and the educated and the illiterate. All are important to us and to YHVH.
“All the World, Our Parish.” – John Wesley
- No matter their station in life, if they need Yeshua, we will be there. Our primary means of Evangelism at this time is through the Media – Radio, Television, and various Internet technologies.
- To equip believers for ministry, to make disciples, and to teach the Body of Yeshua (the church) how to live holy lifestyles and how to be what Yeshua intended the church to be. Also, to teach Christians how to evangelize their own community. This we will do with all means available to us, both now and in the future.
- To expand our reach (and YHVH’s Kingdom) through any means that becomes available to us. Outreach is crucial to Evangelism. We will think outside the box and develop creative outreach efforts inspired by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). Our future plans include holding tent meetings, planting churches, and opening a School of Ministry…all in accordance with the vision YHVH has given us; and as the resources become available. We will take the Gospel into all the world and build YHVH’s Kingdom one soul at a time! We will not be confined to the four walls of a “church” building…we must take the Gospel to the people, wherever they may be, because they will not always come to us!
